Oak Street Legal Suite is a full basement conversion in Vancouver, transforming a former garage footprint into a fully permitted, code-compliant secondary suite for a growing family. The goal was to create a bright, modern lower level that feels like a true home, not an afterthought, with two bedrooms, a new kitchen, and two full bathrooms.

Behind the scenes, this project was heavily technical. It involved structural engineering and permits, fire separation, major plumbing upgrades tied into the city connections, separating rainwater from sewage, and adding a new sump system to meet City requirements. We also completed a 200A electrical service upgrade to properly support the new loads.

The suite was finished with integrated cabinetry, Gessi plumbing fixtures, and a layout designed to function well day to day while adding long-term value to the property.
