Home Renovations Vancouver

Dimora Interiors provides complete home renovation services in Vancouver. We design the layout, prepare the drawings and realistic 3D renderings, select and order materials, coordinate custom millwork and permits, and manage construction through completion.

Our work includes main-floor renovations, multi-room projects and full-home renovations for houses and townhomes. Kitchens, bathrooms, living areas, bedrooms, offices, laundry rooms, flooring, lighting and built-in storage can all be planned as one connected project.

Dimora is both an interior design studio and a general contractor. The design is developed with the property, budget and construction requirements in mind, and the same approved drawings and selections guide the work on site.

01 Renovation Typologies

The renovations we plan and build

Thoughtful renovations start with a clear, unified approach. We consider layout, materials, lighting and construction together to create homes that feel cohesive from room to room.

Full-home and multi-room renovations

A larger renovation can bring the layout, finishes, lighting, millwork and building systems into one clear direction. We plan how the rooms connect, where privacy is needed, how storage is distributed and which work should happen together so the finished home feels consistent from one area to the next.

Main-floor renovations

Main floors often combine the kitchen, dining room, living room, entry and powder room. The renovation may improve circulation, create stronger connections between rooms, add practical storage, update lighting and flooring, or introduce custom millwork without changing every wall.

Kitchens, bathrooms and connected spaces

When several rooms share plumbing, flooring, ceilings or millwork, planning them together gives the details a natural relationship. Door heights, trim, lighting, hardware, stone and cabinetry can be coordinated across the home while each room still serves its own purpose.

Homes with original or meaningful details

Original moulding, fireplaces, hardwood, handmade cabinetry and pieces with personal meaning can become part of the new design. We review their condition, usefulness and character, then plan the surrounding work so restored elements and new construction belong together.

03 Architectural Layers

Flooring and lighting across the home

Flooring Flow

Flooring affects how the rooms connect and how the home handles daily use. We compare site-finished and prefinished hardwood, engineered hardwood, laminate, luxury vinyl and other suitable materials by appearance, durability, maintenance, floor height and the transitions between rooms.

Lighting Layers

Lighting is planned as part of the architecture rather than added at the end. General lighting, task lighting and softer evening light are coordinated with the furniture plan, cabinetry, artwork and natural light. Dimming, colour temperature, beam spread and fixture placement help each room work throughout the day. See how these choices come together in our completed Vancouver projects.

04 Management Methodology

How Dimora Manages a Home Renovation

The project is planned in detail before construction begins. You review the layouts, drawings, 3D renderings, materials and product pricing, then approve the direction before orders and site work move forward. The proposal explains the services, fees and responsibilities, and cost updates remain visible as decisions are made.

Dimora has completed or led more than 100 residential projects. We work with established millworkers and licensed trades, many of whom have worked with us for years. During construction, we review the visible finish work and the technical work behind it, including alignments, transitions, rough-ins, waterproofing, ventilation and installation details.

07 Common Inquiries

Practical questions before you renovate

What types of home renovations does Dimora take on?

We work on main-floor, multi-room and full-home renovations, including kitchens, bathrooms, living areas, bedrooms, offices, laundry rooms, flooring, lighting and custom millwork. The final scope is confirmed after we understand the property and project.

When should we contact Dimora?

About six months before the preferred construction date is a useful starting point. Larger projects, permits, custom millwork and imported products may benefit from additional planning time.

How much does a home renovation cost in Vancouver?

Full-home renovation costs vary significantly depending on the size of the home, the scope of work, structural changes, kitchens and bathrooms, building-system upgrades, custom millwork and the level of finishes selected. After reviewing the property and understanding the scope, we can provide a clearer idea of the expected budget and next steps.

Can we keep original features or meaningful pieces?

Yes. We can assess existing moulding, fireplaces, hardwood, cabinetry, furniture or other valued pieces and incorporate suitable items into the new design.

Can the renovation be completed in phases?

Yes, when the work has practical boundaries. We set the overall direction first so flooring, lighting, services and millwork remain coordinated across phases.

Can we live in the home during construction?

Many clients remain at home when essential rooms and comfortable access are available. Before construction, we outline the room-use and daily-access plan.

Do you coordinate permits, engineers and other consultants?

Yes, when included. With authorization, Dimora can manage applicable municipal permits for an additional fee and coordinate required information from architects, engineers or other consultants.

Do you order the materials and fixtures?

Yes, when procurement is included. You approve each product price, and we coordinate the order, lead time, delivery and installation requirements.

How will I know where the budget stands?

Approved construction costs, product orders and changes are recorded and shared. New information is presented with its cost and schedule effect before approval.

What warranty do you provide?

Dimora provides a two-year workmanship warranty under the project agreement and helps with available manufacturer warranties for products purchased through us.

Is the first conversation complimentary?

Yes. We offer a complimentary one-hour in-home consultation with no obligation. It’s an opportunity for us to learn more about your project, discuss your goals and scope, and see how we may be able to help. You can click here to book an appointment.
